Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember, but it has taken years to refine what it truly means to me. I began my journey with a simple decision—to take a photography elective in high school. Armed with my mom’s Nikon D80, I discovered a love for capturing moments that would only deepen over time. After college, I found myself immersed in the high-pressure world of wedding photography, where I learned the technical side of the craft—how to chase light, anticipate emotion, and frame fleeting moments.
But over time, I realized my deepest passion wasn’t in staged shots or orchestrated perfection. It was in the natural beauty of the world around us—the landscapes that tell stories, the way light moves across a city, the raw, unfiltered moments that make a place feel alive. My photography is now dedicated to capturing these authentic scenes, evoking a sense of belonging and connection to the places I shoot.
Today, Matt McNab Photography is about bringing these images into homes, workplaces, and public spaces. My prints aren’t just decorative; they are windows into places that inspire, comfort, and ground us. Whether it’s the spirit of Los Angeles, the playfulness of a child , or the serenity of the ocean, my goal is to create work that resonates—that invites people to feel something beyond the image itself.
